And because it’s JFETs you get everything from crisp cleans to overdriven sounds to heavy distortion, all controllable by rolling your guitar volume up
Why JFETs? The Junction Field Effect Transistor is a voltage controlled current device with very high input impedance. It behaves more like a triode vacuum valve (tube) than any other solid state device and is therefore ideal for guitar amplification duties, giving a more natural roll into overdrive without the need for clipping diodes, and cleaning up gradually as you roll down the volume knob on your guitar.
